Senior menus FAQs

Why does my older dog need a special diet like the Terra Canis Senior Menu?

As dogs get older, their metabolism, energy requirements, digestion and nutritional needs change. The Terra Canis Senior menus are specially tailored to these needs. They provide optimal support for ageing canines to keep them active into old age.

Why is a high meat and protein content so important for older dogs?

Meat provides protein - this is important to counteract natural muscle loss in old age.

How do they help digestion for older dogs?

The Senior menus follow a grain-free recipe and instead provide plenty of vegetables, fruit and natural additives as well as valuable nutrients.

Which herbs are included in the Senior menus?

Terra Canis Senior menus contain a carefully balanced herbal complex with hawthorn, nettle, horsetail, rosehip, chamomile and fennel seeds. These natural supplements are believed to specifically support the maintenance of vitality in old age.
